German Studies Minor

Coordinators: Associate Professor Windham and Visiting Assistant Professor Lange

The German Studies minor provides students with a strong interdisciplinary knowledge of German language and culture. It focuses on the study of Germany from a variety of perspectives: linguistic, literary, cultural, historical, economic, artistic, philosophical and political. Study abroad in Germany is strongly encouraged, as are internships with German companies in the United States or Germany.

Students interested in internship and career opportunities in Germany are eligible to enroll in the Business German/Career German Program, which offers career-focused language and cultural preparation. Open to students in all academic majors. No prior experience in German required. Contact the department at languages@elon.edu for more information.
