History A.B. - Teacher Licensure

A Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in History with Teacher Licensure requires the completion of the Elon Core Curriculum as well as the Major Requirements listed below.
Major Requirements
Required Courses: 8 sh
Select sixteen hours of HST at the 1000- or 2000-level: 16 sh
- Students must select at least one U.S. and one non-U.S. history course.
Select one HST elective at the 3000-4000 level for each of the following three areas: 12 sh
- Four hours of U.S. history
- Four hours of European history, including ancient history
- Four hours of history of Africa, Asia, Latin America or the Middle East
Additional courses: 12 sh
- Choose from either GEO 1210, Global Physical Environments or GEO 1310, The World's Regions
- POL 1110, American Government
- ECO 1000, Principles of Economics
