SOC 3760 A Sociological Perspectives on Work and Family
Sociological Perspectives on Work and Family examines the interlocking relationships between two important societal institutions: work and family. The course considers the critical interactions between work and family, historical changes over time, and policies that affect institutional arenas, contextualized within a broad framework of social theories about work, social change, social norms, and social inequality. In addition, the course analyzes how gender, social class, race/ethnicity, and family structure affect the work-family relationship.
