Health Services

Elon provides students with access to TimelyCare, a telehealth program that offers medical and mental virtual health care from anywhere in the United States, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. DPAS encourages students to take advantage of this service when feeling under the weather, anxious, or overwhelmed. Students can go to TimelyCare to register with their elon.edu email address, using the access code that was emailed to them. Students can then have visits from any web-enabled device – smartphone, laptop, or desktop. TimelyCare service is available in addition to the existing in-person services at Counseling Service and Student Health Services and is provided with no additional cost or fee to students.  Information about accessing the virtual services is also available on the websites for Counseling Services appointments and Student Health Services appointments.

Health and counseling services are also available to all Elon University students at Student Health Services. Appointments for counseling can be scheduled by calling 336-278-7280. Student Health Services does not provide clinical services during the summer and university-observed breaks. During this time, students experiencing emergency medical situations should call 911. Students with non-emergent health concerns should consult the Student Health’s webpage for referrals to local urgent care centers. This information is regularly updated. Students are responsible for all costs incurred and should take copies of their insurance information with them.

Students with health issues that arise while enrolled in the PA Program are encouraged to discuss any educational program related concerns with the Program Director.

The PA faculty (including the Program and Medical Directors) may not provide medical care to students or access student health records but may facilitate referrals to health facilities.
