ESS3123 Nutrition and Bioenergetics

This course will examine how the body utilizes nutrients to support physical activity, sport performance and maintain health.  Students will learn about the importance of consuming a scientifically derived diet, the role of nutrients in bioenergetics, and the importance of nutrient timing and fluid balance.  Students will be expected to apply these concepts to a healthy weight management, maintenance of a healthy lifestyle, and enhancement of athletic performance.
