MED 570 Leadership and Inquiry in Education: NBPTS preparation

This course is grounded in National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, emphasizing knowledge of content, pedagogy and students; inquiry stance; and leadership and learning in the profession. Participants will use readings from professional literature, classroom artifacts and video analysis to reflect on and hone practice as they address NBPTS components. Additionally, teachers will document professional leadership and learning, including connections to family and community. This course is not a certification course, but provides opportunities to survey necessary requirements for this leadership designation.
