BIO 344 EVOLUTION
In this course, students investigate the causes, rates and implications of evolutionary change in biological systems. Evolution by natural selection is the unifying theory of biology linking phenomena that occur at many different levels of biological organization. Thus, natural selection is studied in depth. Other topics include speciation, rates of molecular change, causes of mass extinctions and sexual selection. Three lecture hours, one laboratory per week.
