REL 235 THE FUTURE OF HUMAN-ANIMAL RELATIONS

This course examines the complex interrelationships between humans and animals, particularly as they are governed by religious and ethical concerns. We will consider the imaginative role animals play in the construction and expression of value systems, alongside more practical and concrete issues such as animal rights, the environment and the place of animals in human economies.
