POL 369 U.S.-LATIN AMERICAN RELATIONS

This course starts with an examination of the relations between the U.S. and Latin America from an historical perspective during the last two centuries. It emphasizes U.S. interventions during the contentious Cold War period, and contemporary issues such as migration conflicts, drug wars, human rights and the rise of alternative sources of power in the regional system.
