ECO 460 ECONOMIC CONSULTING

The course is designed to teach Economics major seniors on how to work as an economic consultant. An economic consultant is presented with a research question from a firm or government office for which they must collect and analyze relevant data, conduct appropriate analysis and effectively communicate the results to their client. This course will further students’ data visualization skills and provide practical applications for the techniques learned in econometrics to analyze their client’s data. Finally, a professional business report will be written to explain the results of their research and to provide recommendations to their client.
