HST 138 JEFFERSON'S AMERICA

Through an in-depth study of the life and writings of Thomas Jefferson, students will learn about and take positions on three of the most important debates of the Revolutionary and Early National Periods, all debates in which Jefferson played a central role. They will also consider how these three debates—about religion, race, and federalism—still resonate today.
