The Master of Science in Accounting Program

The Master of Science in Accounting program is designed to provide an expedited avenue for promising, currently enrolled, Elon undergraduate accounting majors to earn both the B.S. in Accounting (BSA) and a Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) within five years. Students graduate with their BSA at the end of four years, after completing their undergraduate requirements, and then continue into graduate study.  They may apply for admission to the MSA as early as the fall of the third year with admission decisions determined on a rolling basis. Upon admission to the program, the student will complete one or more graduate courses during the fourth year of study followed by additional graduate work during the fifth year.

After the awarding of the BSA, students will take additional graduate classes to obtain a total of ten graduate courses. These courses correspond to the coursework required for the MSA.

Current Elon accounting majors who meet the following criteria may apply to the program:

Junior standing or higher (completed at least 70 hours)

A minimum cumulative Elon GPA of 3.2

A minimum cumulative Elon GPA in accounting coursework of 3.1

Admission to the MSA program does not require the GMAT, essays, or letters of recommendation.

Goals of the MSA program:

 100% placement of graduates

100% passing rate of CPA exam within one year after graduation
