ENG 306 TEACHING ENGLISH TO SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES (TESOL): THEORY AND PRACTICE

This course examines theories of second language acquisition and both historical and contemporary practices of teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) in the U.S and abroad. Readings, class discussions, and projects will focus on applying theory to practice in core skill areas for English language learners. Through community partnerships with local organizations, students will gain practical experience working with English language learners.
