IDS 200 OUTDOOR LEADERSHIP AND FACILITATION

This course will provide knowledge and practice in experiential facilitation and leadership. Students will examine facilitation and leadership in an interdisciplinary context and learn skills relevant to their specific field. Outdoor and adventure-based education will be used as a laboratory in which to develop the basics of facilitation and be able to practice and receive feedback on their facilitation styles. Students will examine various leadership and facilitation styles and reflect on their personal facilitation skills. Students will study the experiential learning model, teamwork competencies, and leadership skills.
