COM 381 COMMUNICATIONS INTERNSHIP
All students must complete an off-campus, professionally supervised internship in their discipline of study: journalism, strategic communications, cinema and television arts, communication design or media analytics. Students secure an internship with the guidance and prior approval of the school's internship director. Students enroll for one or two credit hours, based on at least 80 work-hours per credit hour.
Prerequisite
Approval of school's internship director. Typically, students complete coursework in
COM 110 and
COM 210/220 prior to serving an internship.

Maximum of four credit hours can be applied toward graduation.
COE Co-op Work Experience credit does not count toward the major or toward the 72 hours required outside of Communications.
