EDU 255 FOUNDATIONS OF 21ST CENTURY TEACHING

This course introduces methods of designing aligned curriculum, instruction, and assessment. It examines critical components of teaching in the contemporary elementary school, including technology integration, approaches to organizing and managing positive and effective learning communities, and a basic understanding of the purpose, use, and interpretation of educational assessments. In order to better understand these and other matters of achievement and behavior, students will use readings, discussions, course assignments, and field experiences to begin addressing contextualized problems of practice.
