PEH 421 CHRONIC AND ACUTE DISEASES

Students study the interdependency of body systems and diseases and conditions that affect human health and well-being. Topics include the historical foundation of health professions, immunology, pathophysiology of prominent acute and chronic diseases, sociocultural factors that influence health, and consequences and prevention of major health risk behaviors. Methods of health appraisal and screening are also investigated.
