This class is an introduction to the tools, and technique for theatrical drafting and model building. Emphasis is placed on equipment, standards and practical application.

  1. Students will develop and practice drafting which adheres to theatrical guidelines.
  2. Students will understand the components of drafting and learn to manipulate these components to create clear drafts which communicate effectively.
  3. Students will develop a basic understanding of AutoCad drafting software.
  4. Students will learn to plan and build scale model pieces from furniture to a complete model.
  5. Students will experiment with various wet medias to color model pieces.
  6. Students will develop the skills necessary to be confident when using a variety of media when producing models.
