Course Numbering

000–089: Non-credit, non-degree, and continuing education courses

090–099: Courses that will be eventually given credit (e.g. study abroad)

100–199: Lower-level introductory undergraduate courses. Generally no prerequisites

200–299: Lower-level intermediate undergraduate courses. May have prerequisites

300–399: Upper-level intermediate undergraduate courses. Likely have prerequisites or require instructor permission.

400–499: Upper-level advanced undergraduate courses. Usually have prerequisites or require instructor permission.

500–599: Introductory –level graduate and professional courses (including those co-enrolled with undergraduates)

600–699: First year graduate and professional courses

700–799: Second year graduate and professional courses
