ENG 3580 YOUNG ADULT LITERATURE

This course provides an overview of the vital and varied contemporary genres that contribute to young adult literature, including novels, graphic novels, poetry, nonfiction, and short stories. The historical development of the field and issues of critical interpretation will be fore-fronted. Additional points of focus may include censorship debates, film adaptations, issues of audience, and young adult literature in translation.
