CDE 3180 WRITING FOR VISUAL MEDIA

The written word is crucial to visual communication practices. This course explores the foundational purpose of writing in the communication design profession. Students will write clear and effective copy for a variety of media, apply principles of typography and layout, and document the iterative process of solving design problems. The course explores techniques for unlocking creativity and develops students’ abilities to present design solutions to collaborators, clients, and stakeholders. This course is required for all Communication Design majors.
