DTS 4970 SENIOR SEMINAR

This capstone seminar requires majors to integrate and extend their knowledge and practice of drama and theatre. While returning to a number of the most significant problems and periods in drama/theatre history that students first encountered in DTS 1001, students will develop an individual senior project. Considering the diversity of interests among students in the Drama and Theatre Studies program this project may lead to an essay in drama literary criticism, an essay in theatre history, an essay in drama/performance theory, a dramaturgical study of a particular play or group of plays, or some other project related to the field.  In order to develop these projects, half of our time will be spent acting as a “reading group” for each other’s work.
