    o Student Learning Objective: Reflect on how film is a tool of communication and can facilitate the understanding of global cultures and histories
  2. • Explain the concepts of diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, gender, ability, race, ethnicity and sexual orientation in the context of global film industries
    o Student Learning Objective: Understand the importance & market relevance of independent films with respect to target audiences, the film culture of that national cinema, and impact on censorship.

    o Student Learning Objective: Critically evaluate one’s own viewing habits, preferred culture, and biases by reflecting on films and television they watch.
