IDS 1150 PUBLIC SPEAKING

Public speaking is about communicating effectively with others through speaking, writing, and visual representations of high-impact messages. Students study speech fundamentals and critical thinking through frequent public speaking practice, being mindful of setting, purpose, audience, and subject. Students build skills and increase comfort in the development and delivery of effective speeches including techniques regarding research, evidence, writing, organization, reasoning, language, and listening.
