In this capstone seminar, students demonstrate that they can understand, participate in, and contribute to current discussions and debates in the field of Religious Studies. Students also reflect on their course of study in the major and its implications for their future.

  1. Students will recognize and describe the breadth and diversity of religious traditions and/or other constructions of “religion.”
  2. Students will formulate substantive, critical questions about issues within the study of religion.
  3. Students will employ appropriate approaches to pursuing those questions.
  4. Students will craft coherent and well-supported arguments.
  5. Students will articulate the relevance of Religious Studies to understanding and/or addressing questions and problems that face our world.
