Violations of Standards for Academic or Professional Conduct
Good academic standing implies that a student follows all Program policies, is not on academic probation or suspension, and has not been dismissed. A student whose performance falls below the minimum acceptable standard(s) for any area of study will be notified of such deficiency by the course director, his/her academic advisor, and/or the Program Director as soon as evidence of such substandard performance is available. Students who do not meet the Standards for Academic and Professional Conduct or do not adhere to program policy may be candidates for probation or dismissal. Violations of the policies will be reported to the Program Director. The Program Director may elect to deal with the matter directly or refer the matter to DPAS Academic and Professional Progress Committee (APPC) for assessment and recommendation of appropriate sanctions. Sanctions of probations, suspension, and dismissal may only be imposed by the APPC.
