Disciplinary Procedures

Students whose performance is unacceptable due to inability to meet the Standards for Academic and Professional Conduct or who do not adhere to program policy will be subject to probation or dismissal. Students also may be dismissed if they do not meet the Technical Standards while enrolled in the Program. Violations of the Standards will be heard by the Academic Professional Progress Committee for review and recommendation of appropriate action. A letter outlining the violation and required steps to return to good standing (either academic, professionalism, or failure to meet the technical standards) will be provided to the student from the APPC Chair. Decisions of the APPC may be appealed to the Program Director. The Dean of the School of Health Sciences/Designee may be consulted for clarification about initiation of the process to appeal decisions of the APPC.
