Continuation Standards

DPT students who fail to maintain a cumulative or modular grade point average of at least 3.0 will be placed on academic probation. A student will be subject to dismissal from the program for any event that could result in either academic or professional warning or probation (e.g., a second Unsatisfactory grade) for a student currently or previously on academic or professional probation. If a student is dismissed from the program, the student may submit a letter of appeal and any supporting documentation to the Dean’s Office within ten business days after receiving written notification. If the student does not submit an appeal letter by the deadline, it is assumed  that they concur with the decision. For consideration for re-admission into the program, the student must compete with the new applicants for the program.  Additional details can be found in the cohort-specific DPT student handbook.
