Secondary Licensure Requirements

The student planning to teach at the high school level completes a major in a discipline and the necessary professional studies courses for teacher licensure at the secondary level (grades 9-12). Students must apply and be admitted to the Teacher Education program and complete all requirements  to be recommended for teacher licensure.

Secondary education licensure is available in biologycomprehensive scienceEnglish, history, and mathematics (B.S. or A.B.) .

Students majoring in Mathematics with teacher licensure will take MTH 3090 in lieu of EDU 3050.
