Students in the Fundamentals of Music (MUS 1300), Materials of Music sequence (MUS 1310, MUS 1320, MUS 2310, and MUS 2320) and Aural Skills sequence (MUS 1315, MUS 1325, MUS 2315, MUS 2325) must earn a C- or better to progress through the next course level.

(a) applied music lessons, at least one semester at the 4000 level 14 sh

(b) half solo recital at the 3000 level

(c) full solo recital at the 4000 level

(d) ensemble from MUS 1010, MUS 1051, MUS 1030, MUS 1050, and MUS 1020 8 sh

(e) keyboard proficiency

(f) MUS 0010 Departmental Recital each semester of residency as a Music Performance major

(g) Vocal majors must take MUS 2510 Diction for Singers I and MUS 2511 Diction for Singers II
