CJS 2550 Organized Crime

Students will gain an appreciation for (1) the extent and types of activities of organized criminal groups and the threats that they pose to the world; (2) the history of the organized crime in America and around the globe, including the reasons for its existence; (3) the structure of these organizations, in addition to the methods they use to obtain their goals; and (4) the manner of efforts used by criminal justice systems to curtail the activities of these groups.
