DAN 4972 Senior Seminar in Dance
This course is the capstone experience for the senior dance major, exploring a variety of topics and skills to help prepare the student for graduate study or work in the dance profession. Specific focus will be placed on developing the necessary materials for the emerging dance artist (artist statement, resume, digital portfolio, reels, etc.). Additionally, each student must complete the final thesis project demonstrating proficiency in performance, composition, research, and/or production techniques.

- 2. Write a cohesive and articulate Artist Statement in a way that gives a verbal representation of, and in support of, your values as a

- 4. Compile their creative research process into a Production Handbook.
- 5. Create a Digital Portfolios.
- 6. Create Promotion, Marketing Materials, and mock budget.
- 7. Create individual Digital Portfolios and present them to the class.
- 8. Present the culmination of their Thesis Project for public viewing at the end of the semester.
