DSC 4970 Senior Seminar Dance Science
This course serves as the capstone experience for the Dance Science major, examining the current research trends, ideas, and scientific theory associated with dance science and providing skills to help the student prepare for entry to the profession or graduate study. Students will design, propose, conduct, write, and present a substantive research project. They will examine up-to-date disciplinary ideology and discuss these concepts in a seminar style setting. They will also develop position statements and discuss methods for implementation of dance science concepts in community, commercial, and clinical settings. Additionally, they will complete a professional development plan and portfolio. 4 sh. Prerequisite: ESS 2140 and senior standing.
