ENG 3090 Writing Center Workshop

The Writing Center Workshop prepares students to work with writers in Elon’s Writing Center and in any one-to-one mentoring or tutoring situation. In the course, students learn practical and inclusive techniques for consulting on writing, informed by contemporary theories and studies of writing and learning. Students learn about writing across the university and how to support students writing for academic, professional, and personal purposes. The course also enhances the writing ability of students in the course. As part of the course, students observe Writing Center sessions and hold writing appointments with students for two hours each week in The Writing Center.
