ENS 1160 Introduction to Geology

Geology is the study of the planet that supports and sustains us. Geologists learn to read the record of the history of our planet, deciphering the clues left behind in Earth materials. This geology course includes a study of the nature and origin of rocks and minerals, evolution of the landscape, plate tectonics, coastal dynamics and geologic time. Laboratory included. Counts as laboratory science in the Core Curriculum.
