WHE 4980 Health and Wellness Coaching Practicum

This practicum provides students with practical experience facilitating health and wellness coaching sessions. Students will have the opportunity to apply professional coaching guidelines and competencies in sessions with volunteer clients. Students also will continue to enhance their coaching abilities through ongoing learning, peer practice, feedback, and self-reflection.

    1. Demonstrate effective coaching methods, strategies, and skills to enable positive
    behavior change.
    2. Design coaching sessions with consideration of appropriate structure and the

    3. Appropriately document coaching sessions and hours.
    4. Employ professional conduct and ethical guidelines.
    5. Self-assess and reflect on coaching techniques, skills, and conduct.
    6. Describe plans for continued professional development.
