IDS2040 Edible Ideologies: Food, Power, and Identity
Food, from its production to consumption, is a powerful symbol of social and cultural meaning. Through interdisciplinary readings, films, print/visual media, and discussions, this course will examine the relationship between food and identity. Experiential learning techniques in and outside of the classroom supplement course content, including a “dinner lab” in which we will cook and share a meal together.
