PHY 3980 RESEARCH METHODS II

PHY 3980 is the culmination of a two-course sequence (PHY 3970 / PHY 3980) that serves as an introduction to the processes of scientific research and development, including the design and execution of an experiment or project and the effective communication of results. Continuing work on projects begun in PHY 3970, students will overcome experimental and design challenges to complete an experiment or produce a high-fidelity prototype, achieve meaningful results, and acquire critical skills in data analysis and presentation. Students will engage in the practices of scientific communication and dissemination, culminating in both a technical presentation and a journal-style manuscript.
