PUB 2100 Public Policy Think Tank

Public Policy Think Tank is a course for Elon University's student-run public policy think tank, the Phoenix Policy Institute (PPI). Students begin the course learning about topics including policy analysis, how policy institutes operate, and data visualization. Students are encouraged to engage in policy issues they are passionate about, whether at the state or local, national, or international level. As PPI staff, students produce original work, publishing and disseminating this policy knowledge to a broader audience through its website, blog, and in poster sessions. Students also hold staff roles in web development, communications, editing, etc. Output of the think tank is varied, including policy briefs or memos as well as blogs and infographics. Students also host events with members of the Elon community and external speakers on various policy topics.
