ANT3250 Medical Anthropology

This study of the biocultural basis of health and disease over time and across cultures examines the importance of culture in the experience of illness, diagnosis and treatments at individual and population levels. Topics include cultural influences of health practices and behaviors such as whole body approaches to health and wellness over the lifecourse, relationships between practitioners and patients, and relationships between planetary and human health.
