GBL2345 Cubans & the Cuban Diaspora: Politics, Media, and Society in Cuba & Miami

Explore the vibrant tapestry of the Cuban diaspora in Miami and of Cubans through this immersive study away course. We will build on the preparatory seminar with a deeper examination of the intersection of media, politics, and society by engaging with media sources and personalities, and with political figures and institutions, in both Miami and Cuba. We will also grasp more deeply the role of identities and identity intersectionality, and witness first-hand the unique cultural bridges and divides that exist between Miami and Cuba.
