HSS3610 Substance Use Disorders: Issues in Treatment
Students will become familiar with contemporary theories and approaches to treating alcohol and other substance use disorders. The course also examines issues common in treatment of individuals and families facing substance use disorders, especially the intersectionalities of individual and family identities. The course addresses innovative treatment modalities as well as the lack of sufficient and appropriate rehabilitative services available to meet the needs of various special populations.
