This course focuses on the business aspects of the music industry, including copyright, performance rights, business organization, management, contracts, riders, grants, taxation, music production, freelancing, and artificial intelligence. Throughout the course, students will explore various roles in the industry, such as teaching, promoting, performing, publishing, composing, booking, producing, managing, sales, and training. Additionally, students will examine entrepreneurial strategies for building sustainable careers in the music industry, including brand development, networking, revenue diversification, and the use of digital platforms to create and market their own opportunities.
