OLE4100 Administration and Management of Outdoor Education Programs
This course provides students with foundational knowledge for the management of outdoor education programming. Students will examine management concepts such as hiring, staff training, liability, insurance, and legal issues. A significant aspect of the course focuses on theories and practical application of risk management, including risk assessments and mitigation techniques. Throughout the course, students will critically examine and compare administrative theories, organizational concepts, principles, and procedures as they relate to the operation and oversight of outdoor education programs.
