ECO 4400 Applied Economics and Consulting
This course serves as the signature experience for Business Economics majors. Students learn how businesses, nonprofits, and public agencies use economic and data analysis to make decisions. Working in consulting teams, students gather and interpret data and apply economic reasoning. They then present practical recommendations to address real organizational challenges. The course builds students’ problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills through applied projects that develop skills in analysis, visualization, and presentation.
Prerequisite
ECO 1000, ECO 2300, one ECO 3XXX, and one additional data course required for the business economics major, or permission of the instructor.
