The Sport and Event Management major prepares students to plan, implement and sustain effective sport management experiences in private, public and commercial settings. Through extensive practical applications, students develop an understanding of community and global service, with an emphasis on leadership and professional skill development. The major prepares students for careers related to professional sport, athletics, community sport, and the operation of corresponding facilities.
REQUIRED MINOR, DOUBLE MAJOR OR SEMESTER ABROAD. To promote academic depth, all students must complete a minor, double major or a semester abroad (totaling 12 credit hours or more) in an Elon-approved program. (For those pursuing a Business Administration minor, SEM 351 satisfies the requirement for either BUS 304 Introduction to Marketing or MKT 311 Principles of Marketing.)
