CHM 305 ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMISTRY
This course provides a survey of chemical topics applying to selected pollutants in the air, water and soil. Topics include production and diffusion, photochemical processes, techniques for analysis, acid-base and redox chemistry, environmental and biological effects. Laboratory work includes acid/base and buffer chemistry, analysis of heavy metal pollutants, sampling techniques and resistance of selected materials to certain pollutants.
