GBL 254 BARLEY AND THE VINE: VITICULTURE AND BREWING

Brewing and viticulture play a crucial role in the cultures of many European countries, including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Emerging economic, political, and environmental realities, however, are fundamentally changing how these traditional arts are practiced. Set against this backdrop of looming change and expanding opportunities, this study abroad course will examine the cultural significance of wine and beer in Germany and Italy.
