HST 464 THE VICTORIANS
This seminar offers students the opportunity to develop deep research projects on the culture and peoples of the Great Britain in the Victorian Era (1837-1901). Topics will be limited to those that fall within the purview of cultural and intellectual history. These may include studies of specific intellectual movements, cultural trends, or attempts to understand and explain the worldviews of prominent Victorians. The breadth of student research in this seminar should contribute to our deeper understanding of the ways in which Victorians thought, behaved, and responded to modern transformations and to their global empire
