ITL 275 ITALIAN LITERATURE

This course gives students an overview of Italian literature from the 1300’s to the present day. Students examine works in their historical contexts and develop their skills in textual analysis. The literary texts will be studied alongside secondary scholarly sources and transformations into other media forms: film, theater, music, video games. Texts will come from the medieval, Renaissance, Enlightenment, Unification, modern, and/or contemporary periods.
